Akio Hasegawa, the stylist and genius behind the air-conditioned jacket, is known for his love of retro styles and oversized silhouettes, so it’s no surprise that the Athletic AC Jacket looks less in line with contemporary trends and more in line with contemporary trends a retro sports jacket. The model could also be imagined on basketball enthusiasts or young soccer players in the 80s and 90s. The short teaser video that accompanies the release of the jacket shows the athletic jacket with air conditioning in full action on the basketball court. It also becomes clear that the cooling function of the jacket does not go unnoticed, because in order to activate the cooling, the zip must be completely closed and the Velcro fastener around the wrists should also be as tight as possible. The reason for this is the battery-powered fans that are integrated into the shell jacket and circulate cool air inside the jacket. Admittedly, the sports jacket puffs up quite a bit when using the air conditioning, but it also cools down properly.

For 47,300 yen, you too could theoretically be the proud owner of the air conditioning jacket, which was created in collaboration with the IS-NESS brand.
