With 48 young people on internship at the Der

48 judokas took part from Monday July 25 until Friday July 29 in a “discovery judo camp” course at the UFOLEP center in Giffaumont, organized by the Grand Est Judo League.

The minimal and cadet categories are concerned. Lorraine and Alsace are numerous while only two Haut-Marnaises, namely Charlotte Fraipont (JC Marnaval / Saint-Dizier) and Louane Zunino (JC Chalindrey) joined this course. “All the departments of the Grand Est are represented except the Meuse. There are also two young people from Yonne. It is a course with four hours of judo per day. We give habits to young people with a muscular awakening in the morning and teach them to adopt an athletic rhythm. Two physical preparation sessions take place during the week. We work the technique standing and on the ground, with also simulations by training fights. The first objective is a technical upgrade, the second is living together,” explains Francis Clerget, 7e Dan, national trainer and course manager. A course he leads with three executives of the league. Monday, July 25, the young people received the visit of the president of the Grand Est league, Jean-Louis Duvergey. In addition to the sessions on the tatami, the trainees practiced activities at Der with water games or tree climbing and hiking.
