“The message is very clear that we have signed new players to improve our squad because our squad was very bad last season and the Champions League place is a big achievement. Our first goal is to improve the squad, not only players physically but also mentally,” said Antonio Conte. from the BBC.

“We want players who are right for my philosophy and today I prefer to use players from last season because they are reliable than new players. This is because we only spent two weeks with some of those players due to injuries and Covid.”

We have used common sense to select players who have the right characteristics to improve our squad. We have to work to keep improving and have the ambition to make ourselves better than yesterday.”
