With 3,900 athletes, the Intercollegiate Games began in Valledupar | the pylon

With the participation of more than 3,900 students from the different public and private educational institutions of Valledupar, this Monday, August 1, the municipal phase of the 2022 Intercollegiate Games was launched.

The intercollegiate party will test, for a week, the sports skills of the school community in the capital of Cesar.

This school competition returns in 2022 with 20 disciplines, including team sports, after 2020 in which virtuality was the main ally for the development of competitions and 2021 designed for individual sports.

The Intercollegiate Games in their municipal phase have a motivational component for the student, because it is the stage in which they begin to explore their sporting abilities, that is why we have all our institutional capacity to carry out these fairs, both in individual sports and overall”, said the director of the Institute of Sport, Recreation and Physical Activity, INDER Valledupar, Jailer Pérez García.

Disciplines such as chess, athletics, basketball, boxing, cycling, fencing, soccer, artistic gymnastics, judo, rhythmic gymnastics, indoor soccer, indoor soccer, swimming, skating, taekwondo, field tennis, table tennis, volleyball, school festivals and minifutsal will be in competition in the different stages of Valledupar.

The Intercollegiate Games aim to provide spaces for sports training and practice, in addition to contributing to the comprehensive training process of students or athletes, conventional and disabled, of educational institutions and organizations that serve children with disabilities in the country, among other.

This phase will be played in the child, pre-child, youth and pre-juvenile categories, in both branches. This Monday the first day was held with the disciplines of basketball, boxing, volleyball, indoor soccer, indoor soccer, soccer, skating and mini-futsal.
