Loïs Openda continues to score with his new team Lens. The Red Devil scored the decisive second goal for his team against Rennes and thus guides Lens to the provisional lead in Ligue 1.

Lens-Rennes was mainly a poster with three Red Devils between the lines. With the home team, Loïs Openda was allowed to start for the fourth game in a row, on the other side was Arthur Theate, just like Jeremy Doku.

No goals were scored in a balanced first half, but after the hour turntable Seko Fofana broke the spell for Lens. Ten minutes later it was already 2-0 on the board. Openda took full advantage of Rodon’s fumbling and scored his second goal in as many games.

Laborde was able to score the connecting goal for Rennes in added time, but that didn’t change the result. Lens thus jumps to the leading position in Ligue 1 for the time being. Tomorrow there is a topper on the program with PSG-Monaco in France.
