Marti Alt’s sixth place at the Ironman in Tallinn, Estonia, was just a side note for him. During the more than 9-hour long sports match, the romantic had only one thing on his mind: the arrival.
And not with the reason to be able to successfully finish the Ironman, but because he was determined to finally propose to his girlfriend.
But after swimming 3.8 kilometers, cycling 180 kilometers and running a marathon, it is not so easy to go through one knee. And the zealous Estonian must have known that.
Immediately he gets a cramp, causing him to fall over with ring in hand. Two bystanders immediately start massaging him. Moriatiel finally climbs up with a contorted face, to ask the question after all.
And luckily she said yes….
