The new coach of the Trieste team Marco Legovich has announced the appointments of his boys over the next few weeks. On 9 and 10 September two home tests at the Allianz Dome against Slovenian and Croatian teams.

If there is a team that in the 2022/23 top flight will have to start immediately with conviction in order not to leave any precious points on the road, this team is Pallacanestro Trieste. A team that at first glance is very different from last year.

In order to prepare the start of the new season with due care and adequate meticulousness, the Northeast team will have eight friendly matches in the pre-season. As announced by the young Trieste coach Marco Legovich and as can be read from the press release on the official website of the Trieste Basketball, eight matches are scheduled.

These are the words of the new coach, Marco Legovich:

“We are almost there. On 10 August we will be ready to start the long journey to get prepared for the start of the championship. We are working to close the team with the last two pawns. The idea of anticipating the start of the work was born from the perspective of wanting to give everyone a way to get used to the training methods, have time to increase the physical condition and begin to create the right alchemy within the group. After the first days of training in Trieste we will move to the facilities of Thermana Laško in Slovenia, which for years have hosted us in an excellent way, to continue the preparation. The cross-border period will culminate in first friendly of the season against the local team, a test to see the boys on the pitch. In everything we will dispute 8 games to approach the championship, comparing ourselves with formations that will be able to provide us with valuable feedback. It is no coincidence that all the races are scheduled on weekends: I really like to draw a line at the end of each weekly cycle to recalibrate us according to the signals of the boys on the parquet ”.

And again Legovich: “After Laško it will be the turn of Udine tournamentscheduled for 2 and 3 Septemberwhere we will first meet the derby with the hosts of the APU and to follow one of the Reyer Venice and the Turin by coach Ciani. That will already be a very important test, with high level opponents.
The first big one appointment for our fans will be on 9 and 10 September: We organized two friendly matches that will take place at the Allianz Dome with two teams, a Slovenian and a Croatian, and which will give the fans the opportunity to to see the boys at work on the home field for the first time this season. I’m really happy to be able to do it here, to make the team known to the red and white people.
The following weekend will be the turn offriendly of Caorle against the formation of Trevisowhich we will then meet again in the tournament Basketball “in” Jesolo il 23 and 24 September. Also on this occasion the level of the competitors will be very high, with all LBA formations. We will be engaged in the first challenge with the Reyer Venice and then one between Naples and, as mentioned, Treviso.
I believe that we have managed to build a program designed to involve teams of high technical, tactical and physical value, and then get ready for the crucial debut match against Pesaro“.
