This has been the incredible recovery process of Zion Williamson

The 2022/23 season could not be more promising for New Orleans Pelicans. For the first time, the Louisiana franchise will enjoy its ‘Big Three’ made up of CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.

It is already a fact that Williamson will be available for the first game of the next regular season, and at 100% of his capacities. The absence of him during the entire past year and the incredible rehabilitation that he has completed, which will be shown below, have been the keys to this.

  • April 13, 2022: In the preview of the game between Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs, Zion surprises with a 360º dunk that demonstrates his good form.
  • April 28, 2022: The season ends for the Pelicans after losing in six games in the 1st round against the Phoenix Suns.
  • April 29, 2022: Zion reaffirms his commitment to the Pelicans after saying he would sign the extension with his eyes closed.
  • May 26, 2022: Williamson receives official authorization for all basketball activities, the step prior to his final return, which will take place in October.
