From July 29 to 31, the international junior football tournament “Bespalova Cup 2022” in the U-13 age group (for boys born in 2009) was held at the Reserve football field of the Olympic Center “Ventspils”. The tournament is dedicated to the memory of Yuri Bespalov, who was the president of FC Ventspils. 7 teams from Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia participated in the tournament.
Riga Football School became the tournament winners, FK Atmosfera from Klaipeda took second place, and our FA Ventspils team took third place. (Lithuania).
The best players of the tournament – Best goalkeeper Arnas Ashmena (FK Atmosfera, Mazeikiki), Best defender Aigars Valeinis (Daugavpils Football School), Best midfielder Ailandas Alonderis (FK Atmosfera, Mazeikiki), Best forward Aleksandrs Piebalgs (Riga Football School) and Best player of the tournament Zahar Maligins (Riga Football School)
The most productive players of the tournament Andrejs Samujlenko (FA Ventspils) and Aleksandrs Piebalgs (Rīgas Futbola Skola) both with 6 goals each.
Marcis Roderis-Roderts, Marats Zascherinskis, Andrejs Samujlenko, Dmitriys Goncharovs, Matvei Markovs, Alexander Terentjevs, Daniels Burkovskis, Domeniks Vensbergs, Ilya Kichigins, Nikita Solomonovs, Fyodors Novokurskis, Arturs Krūmins-Vaivads, Artjoms Vozny, Miķelis Priedēns played in the Ventspils team. Ralfs Rītelis, Kārlis Maizitis, Davis Shemelis, Rinalds Veckāgans and Miks Zaķis. The coach of the team is Aleksandrs Žižmanovs.
