The XXVIII 3×3 Provincial Basketball Circuit of the Diputación de Málaga arrives in Nerja this Saturday. It will take place in the Plaza de España from half past five in the afternoon. This has been announced by the Councilor for Sports, Daniel Rivas, together with David Muñoz, on behalf of the Club Deportivo Juventud Nerja Basket.
3×3 basketball is played in teams of three players and in midfield. It is usually practiced on the street, either on courts or in designated open spaces, and is practiced by athletes of all ages. That is why the circuit is held in summer and is open to men’s, women’s and mixed teams from pre-minibasket, mini-basket, children’s, cadet, senior and over 45 categories.
It is a sport in expansion since it has recently become an Olympic sport. The Councilor for Sports has highlighted that basketball is an important sport practice in our town. Each one has more followers and that is why from the City Council we are supporting this activity, and Nerjeños and visitors have been invited to come to the Plaza de España and enjoy sports in the street.
