Finally, the double date of Safari Pista Zonal, scheduled for this weekend in Rawson, was postponed for the weekend of August 20 and 21 in the same scenario, due to the poor conditions of the circuit.
The fourth and fifth episode of the 2022 Championship, in double format, will have to keep waiting. The Rawson Sports Association issued a statement in this regard:
“Having analyzed the current status of the circuit, together with its shoulders, escape routes and emergency services path. The club authorities, in reciprocity with the fire chief and the sports commissioner, agreed to request the postponement of the 4th and 5th dates of the Safari Pista Zonal, for 7 days to the Chubutense Automobile Federation”.
“The reasons are strictly for reasons of force majeure (weather) in accordance with the provisions of the current regulations. From the institution we believe that it is the most convenient to guarantee the safety of the pilots as well as the quality of the event.”
It should be noted that the last meeting of the Safari took place on May 29, in Gaiman. On that occasion, there were victories for “Nico” Vales in TPZ 850 cc, Fernando Przybytek in Front Multibrand 1.6, Roberto Paz in 4 Cylinders and David Peñalva in Simple Traction Limited.
