The 2022 South American Basketball League will be played in Misiones

Although the official confirmation from FIBA ​​is missing, the truth is that OTC will not only play for the first time in the South American Basketball League, but it will also be local and will be able to play the matches with its people. This is so since Regatas de Corrientes announced that it will not be able to receive the teams.

From FIBA ​​they raised “logistics issues” to move the group’s headquarters to the city of Obereña. Thus, the Dr. Luis Augusto Derna stadium was offered as the venue by the international entity.

The tournament will be divided into four zones. Group A will take place in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia from September 30 to October 2. It is made up of San Martín de Corrientes, the local Titanes de Barranquilla, Liga Sorobacana de Basquete (Brazil) and the champion of the Ecuadorian League.

Group B will take place from October 7 to 9 and could be played in the city of Oberá where OTC will seek to be the protagonist along with its people. Celeste will face Regatas de Corrientes (Argentina), Bauru Basketball (Brazil) and the champion of the Bolivian League in their group.

OTC will host the South American Basketball League.

Likewise, group C will be played in Buenos Aires from October 14 to 16. Boca Juniors will be the local team. The Xeneize will have to face Aguada (Uruguay), San José (Paraguay) and Leones (Chile).

Finally, group D will be played from October 21 to 23 in Campina Grande (Brazil), where the venue will be Unificasa, and will receive Trigillos (Colombia), San Pablo (Brazil) and Atlético Olimpia (Uruguay).
