Suntory Holdings Limited will start recruiting participants for the second phase of the program “Paraspo Design College”, which co-creates the appeal of parasports with university students, from Monday, August 1st.
Suntory considers parasports to be a “challenged sport” and launched the “Suntory Challenged Sports Project” in 2014. The Paraspo Design College, which is implemented as part of the Suntory Challenged Sports Project, was launched last year in collaboration with Undo Tsushinsha Co., Ltd., which operates Internet sports media such as SPORTS BULL. This is a program in which university students, who will lead the next generation, think, act, and disseminate information about an inclusive society from the perspective of parasports. With a focus on wheelchair basketball, university students themselves will broadcast games LIVE and interview athletes, etc., and will continue to disseminate a variety of content. Through these activities, we will promote the promotion of parasports by disseminating information widely, leading to learning by the participating university students themselves.
