Sixty judokas in training at the Der

Sixty judokas took part from Monday August 22 until Friday August 26 in an advanced training course at the Ufolep center in Giffaumont, organized by the Aube de judo committee. The categories benjamins, minimals and cadets are concerned.

If only six Haut-Marnais from the Marnaval club follow the course, Marnais and Aubois, as well as a strong delegation of judokas from Yonne but also from Lorraine, Alsace, the Paris region and the Luxembourg are also represented. “The young people are here to prepare for the new season and launch the future return to their clubs. This course has existed for 30 years and took place at its beginnings in Lamoura. It gains momentum from year to year thanks also to the results of Axel Clerget and Mélanie Legoux-Clément who took part in it,” details Francis Clerget, national trainer and director of the course, assisted during the sessions by seven other executives, including Philippe Thomas, 6e dan, and Amélie Brieux, ex-member of the France team.

A welcome internship

“It is a technical upgrade. Two physical preparation sessions are conducted during the week. We also discuss living together,” says Francis Clerget.

On this week’s program, judo, four hours a day, general physical preparation and multi-activity half-days, with tree climbing, mountain biking, climbing, archery archery and nautical activities.
