In the León Condou stadium, with a spectacular atmosphere, Saint Joseph defeated Olimpia Kings this Monday by 73-72 and became monarch of the Men’s National Basketball League.
The game began with San José dominating, even making a big difference, but Olimpia reacted in the last quarter and ended up coming back. In the final stretch, the holy team came back on top and the last minutes were heart-stopping, as in the whole series.
It is worth remembering that the first game, which had been played at the León Condou, was won by San José 70-69 in a movie finale, the second game played at the ODD Sports Center was a 75-73 victory for the sky-blue cast and this Monday the 73-72 victory in another dramatic definition.
It is the third consecutive title of San José after its success in 2019 and 2021 (in 2020 it was not played) and the 13th in its history.
