Saint-Paul: a day of sports activities for a hundred young people

Archery, sports games, 10-man pass… Hundreds of young people aged 11 to 17 take part in sports activities on the Aigrettes beach in Cap Homard. A demonstration, with a musical background, organized by the city of Saint-Paul to close the “Vac’ado”, in which the young people took part during the holidays.

On the occasion of the “Vac’ado”, a hundred young people took part in a “mega beach party” in Saint-Paul. Sports activities are organized all day long on the Aigrettes beach in Cap Homard.

On the program for the day: pass to 10, sand ball, beach soccer, riddle or even archery. For this last activity, the children must be concentrated and agile. A first for some, but not for Noa: “I was doing it at home but outdoors with strangers, it’s the first time. […] I managed to put my arrow on the target the first two times“.

This Wednesday marks the last day of activities in the outdoor centers before the start of the school year. Activities of all kinds, in the sand and in the open air: “it changes because we are on the beach. We are not in a sports complex” specifies the young Eline, 12 years old. The objective is thus to allow young people to reconnect with nature.

This festive day closes the “Vac’ado”, which is an action carried out by the municipality of Saint-Paul. For a week, free internships are offered to young people aged 11 to 17 so that they can practice outdoor, artistic or digital-related activities. The objective is to promote access to leisure and information and to encourage the commitment and civic participation of the main parties concerned.
