Before the away game in Bayreuth, Rot-Weiss Essen has signed a very experienced man for central midfield.

“Clemens Fandrich has been an undisputed regular player at an established second division club in recent years. He brings a lot of experience and will bring more stability to our game. Since he has taken part in team training at Chemnitzer FC in recent weeks, he comes to us in very good physical condition and can therefore help us directly. We are very happy that he has chosen us,” explains sporting director Jörn Nowak.

Fandrich, who also played for RB Leipzig, explained after his move to Essen: “Rot-Weiss Essen is finally back where the club belongs – in professional football. Now it’s time to work hard to get positive results as quickly as possible. I I’m very keen to contribute my experience from now on and can’t wait to play in front of the emotional audience on Hafenstrasse.”
