Real Madrid – Eintracht in the European Super Cup: chronicle, result and goals

Real Madrid have an idyll with the finals. Of the last fifteen he has played, he has lost only one. This Wednesday the white team would conquer a new trophy, the European Super Cup, after defeating (2-0), with superiority, Eintracht Frankfurt, Barça’s executioner in the last edition of the UEFA Europa League. Although the German team – weakened by the loss this week of its main star, Filip Kostic, who will play for Juventus – would be the first to approach the goal, logic would eventually prevail and Carlo Ancelotti’s men would prevail the trophy thanks to goals from David Alaba in the first half and Karim Benzema in the second half.

The final of the Super Cup, despite still breathing pre-season rhythm, would start to get excited early enough. Around the fifteenth minute, Daichi Kamada would have the best chance of his team, but he would end up going small in a hand to hand with Thibaut Courtois. The Japanese shot, centered, would be stopped without problems by the Belgian goalkeeper, one of the main assets of this Real Madrid and responsible for a large part of the white titles – League and Champions League – last season. This would be the only scare for the German team before the whites began to take control of the game.

Not five minutes later, the first response from the reigning Champions League champion would arrive. Benzema would receive a ball in the heart of the area, ready to finish it off, but would show his more generous side by giving the ball to Vinícius. The Brazilian would finish at the mouth of the cannon, but Lucas Silva, Whole, would providentially appear to keep the scoreboard level. An equality that would end up being dissolved before the break. Benzema and Vinícius would star in a quick counter-attack, trademark of the house of this Real Madrid of Ancelotti, which would end with the Brazilian’s shot being deflected for a corner by goalkeeper Kevin Trapp. In the set-piece action, the French striker would try to finish, the refusal would fall to Casemiro, who, intelligently, would assist Alaba to score the first all by himself and with pleasure.

No reaction from Eintracht

The goal would nullify Eintracht, who would only have a couple more timid approaches, while Real Madrid would find themselves increasingly comfortable. So much so, that he would end the match with the second, the work of Benzema, who continues to show that he is in a great goal-scoring moment.
