Present National Judo Tournament

Morelia, Michoacan (MiMorelia.com).- After 22 years without a national judo event in Michoacán, the city of Morelia will again receive one of this magnitude with the Professor Manuel Larrañaga Bonavides and Rivera National Tournament of the specialty, in which it is expected more than 600 judokas from the Mexican Republic, from August 19 to 21, in the Multipurpose Auditorium of the Army of the Revolution Sports Center (CDER).

Thanks to the support of Mexican Judo Federation (Femexjudo), to the management of the State Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (Cecufid) and the Michoacán association of said sport, a national fair will return to the entity as in the year 2000. Now, 20 associations are expected, including the Purépecha, which will be represented by 40 martial artists.

The director of Cecufid, Raul Moron Vidal; Mónica Hernández, president of the Michoacán Judo Association; Y Emilio Montes de Ocaan outstanding coach, explained in a press conference that this event is new and Femexjudo implemented it in its calendar with categories Pre-Children, Children Sub-13, Children Sub-15, Cadets Sub-18, Junior Sub-21 and First Force , the latter scoring for the National Ranking, and in which Elizabeth García Malfavón and Emil Montes de Oca will compete.
