A second failover set

After a first set largely dominated by France (25-22) who never let Germany take control, the second set was nevertheless much more contested. The Blues were even led (14-19) then (17-23). Five and six lengths behind erased by the French experience: Ngapeth took the team on his shoulders with two decisive aces and a successful attack at the net. The awakening of Chinenyeze

The central Barthélémy Chinenyeze was the man of the last exchanges. While the Blues were back to back with the Germans (22-22) in the third set, the 24-year-old chose this precise moment to pull out two big counters and then a winning attack to put France back on track and thus, win this first victory without conceding a single set.

The Blues, in search of a double Olympics-World Games, will challenge Slovenia on Sunday (8:30 p.m.) with the objective of remaining undefeated in these group stages.
