Next week, the world championship in street gymnastics will be held in Riga

on August 20 from From 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., freestyle athletes will compete on the stage. On the other hand, on August 21, the audience will have the opportunity to watch the power triathlon and all-around, where the participants will perform various strength and endurance exercises both with additional weights and with their own body weight, both for the number of times and for the time.

Twelve athletes will represent Latvia in this championship.

Erik Markalov, Daniel Dravant, Erik Meijerhofer, Reinhardt Dikmanis, Gennady Petrov and Aleksandr Ivashko will take part in the “Men’s Triathlon” category. Dāniels Leitāns, Vadims Barishoks and Gennadys Petrovs will take part in the category “Strength and Endurance Competition “All-round”” for men. Aleksandrs Kaminskis and Pauls Pakalniņš will participate in the “Freestyle” category. Nadja Berdnika and Linda Štēra will come from Latvia to the world championship.

“This will be the largest event organized in this sport in Latvia in terms of the number of participants and spectators,” says Rolands Kikors, president of the Latvian Street Gymnastics Federation.

The entrance fee for fans for both days of the event will be 15 euros.
