For the first time, the towns of Cajibío, Caldonó, Caloto, Jámbalo, Morales, Páez, Patía, Silvia, Timbío, Toribío, Villa Rica and El Tambo have Sports Schools for All.
In total, in the department of Cauca, 41 sports trainers will be in charge of guiding the children in their sports training process.
In 2022 alone, the Ministry of Sports made an investment of $1,571,666,667 million in the department of Cauca, through the Sports Schools for All program, invested in: uniforms, implementation of 2,050 children and adolescents from 28 municipalities.
The disciplines that will be taught are Chess, Athletics, Basketball, Soccer, Indoor Soccer, Judo, Multimotor and Volleyball.
The Sports Schools for All are present in the municipality of Jambaló, providing sports training and psychosocial support to more than 150 families.
“In each school, the boys work on sports initiation. The idea is that they have fun, but that they also learn the discipline of sport”, assured Mauricio Mantilla, coordinator of the Sports Schools for All in Cauca.
One of the figures of national football and son of this population joins as ambassador of the flagship program of Mindeporte, Dávinson Sánchez and his foundation are present in the municipality of Cauca, and with his support allows seven sports schools to teach football classes to more of 100 minors.
The implementation delivered to the schools of the municipality includes:

– 50 Unstable Bases
– 60 Coordination Stairs
– Didactic elements for the development of motor skills

The trainings became part of the daily routine of the children of the municipality. “I used to train in the Campoalegre village, but the Ministry of Sports arrived and together with the Dávinson Sánchez Foundation they gave us the opportunity to train here,” says Jhoel Mauricio Medina, who dreams of becoming a professional soccer player at the age of 11. .
The investment of $113 million includes the complete provision for the two schools that operate in Jambaló, and includes uniforms for all the athletes and the hiring of a trainer for each one of them.
They do four weekly workouts; In the same way, professionals in psychology will accompany children and their families in parenting workshops and school for parents.
