Marie Benoit in the final at the ITF tournament in Eupen

Marie Benoit (WTA 362, seeded fifth in Eupen) defeated number four seeded Swede Caijsa Wilda Hennemann (WTA 352) 6:4, 7:5. After an hour and 52 minutes, the woman from Eupen converted her first match point.

Benoit only finished her quarter-finals on Saturday afternoon, after the game had been abandoned on Friday evening as darkness fell.

She will meet Aneta Kucmova from the Czech Republic (WTA 446) in the final on Sunday at 3 p.m. Kucmova won her semi-final against Julia Riera from Argentina (WTA 429) 6-4, 6-4.
