The Ecuadorian Marcos Chan reached the title of singles and the doubles subtitle of the ITF J5 Guayaquil Guayas Tennis Association Cup, which is part of the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Circuit, which took place from August 15 to 20 at the Miraflores complex of the Guayas Sports Federation.
Chan, number 571 in the ranking junior ITF, reached the final without losing a single set against his compatriot Jhon Moncada. The match had to be decided in three sets, which was favorable for Chan by a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
To reach the final, Chan defeated Daniel Espín in the first round 6-3, 7-6(3); then Brazilian Stephan Noale 6-3, 6-4; Venezuelan Eusebio García Díaz 6-0, 7-6(1); in the semifinals, the Bolivian Gabriel Ticona 6-3, 6-1.

Cosat tour in Salinas
Parallel to JT 5, at the Salinas Golf & Tennis Club, from August 15 to 19, the Cosat Grade 3 Salinas Cup Tournament was held, which is part of the South American Tour.
The Peruvian Diego Gómez won in the final of singles 14 years to the Ecuadorian Martín Baquero 6-1, 6-1. In doubles, nationals Nicolás Aguiar and Martín Baquero defeated Peruvians Diego Gómez and Aziel Elie 4-6, 7-5, [10-4].
Alenka Hilbro won in the final of singles 14 years to Arianna Ponce 6-1, 6-4. In doubles, Ayleen Macías and Arianna Ponce defeated Alenka Hilbron and Brianna Yúnez 6-3, 6-1.
In singles 16 years old, Donnis Loaiza defeated Daniel Benites in the final by a double 6-3. (D)
