Manchester United Monitor THREE Strikers At Once To Bring To Old Trafford

Mad Ball – Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester United are keeping an eye on three top strikers at once as they look to strengthen their forward line in this summer’s transfer window.

Manager Erik ten Hag is in need of a new striker especially amid the uncertain future of Cristiano Ronaldo who continues to push his move away from the club, while Anthony Martial has also been plagued by fitness issues like the one he currently has.

Manchester United had previously been linked with an interest in 33-year-old Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic, but after strong resistance from fans, the Premier League giants decided to end their pursuit despite Serie A’s willingness to sell.

Now Fabrizio Romano reveals that The Red Devils have been offered the opportunity to sign Alvaro Morata (Atletico Madrid), Raul de Tomas (Espanyol and Mauro Icardi (Paris Saint-Germain).

He said to CaughtOffside, “Atletico Madrid are still hoping to keep Alvaro Morata, while Mauro Icardi is out of the PSG project and has been offered to many clubs, but there are still no ongoing negotiations.”

The third option, which may not be as well known as the names mentioned above, is Espanyol’s Raul de Tomas. The 27-year-old scored 17 goals in 34 La Liga appearances last season and has been linked with interest from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Fabrizio Romano added of the potential transfer of the former Real Madrid youth team player, “Raul De Tomas is still available in the transfer market and Manchester United have been notified of the player’s availability.”
