Major League Baseball: Doping: 80-game ban for baseball pro Tatis

WashingtonBaseball pro Fernando Tatis Jr. has been suspended from the San Diego Padres for 80 games for doping. This was announced by Major League Baseball (MLB).

Tatis tested positive for clostebol, an anabolic steroid. Tatis, 23, said he accidentally ingested a drug to treat a skin infection that contained the banned substance.

Tatis had signed a 14-year, $340 million contract ahead of the 2021 season. Tatis said he was “completely devastated”. The baseball pro broke his wrist in March and is working on his comeback.
