Even this year Rimini hosted i Italian archery championshipswhich were held from 24 to 27 February in the sheds of the Fair. A well-established organization and an ideal location even in these conditions have made it possible to manage the competition in full autonomy and safety. The competition opened with a moving memory of Andrea Bertolino, the historic organizer of the event, who passed away last year.
Even if the expectations allow us to hope for some more podiums for the Three Towers Archersthe company of Cardano al Campo can celebrate yet another participation in an Italian Championship with a bronze and numerous excellent placings, which bode well for the next competitions on the calendar. This year’s protagonist is Luca Milani, a young athlete in the “Boys” class, who won an excellent bronze in the competition dedicated to the naked bow, just two points from silver. The young archer, who trains at the gym Vanzaghello together with Antonio Zarahis technician and manager responsible for the company for the detached section, comes from a streak of very positive results, which we hope will continue for the outdoor season as well.
A few more regrets for the many excellent placings just a few points from the podium, given that for this year the company from Cardano al Campo could count on 25 participations among athletes and 4 class teams (all female), as well as 2 absolute . We find, in fact, in fifth place Isabella Salmoirago (female master naked bow) 4 points from the podium, Elena Crespi (female master compound bow) to -5 e Marta Corini (recurve bow female students) at -3, while the other qualified all remained over the tenth place.
The teams are also very good, with two fifth places in the female student recurve arch (Marta Corini, Sofia Buscetta and Elena Cavalieri) and female girls (Erika Baron, Gaia Micalizzi and Delia Ferrari), while the two trio of senior athletes qualified respectively seventh in the Olympic (Gloria Cantù, Anna Colombo and Alessandra Moltrasio) and octave in the compound (Anna Puricelli, Francesca Vailati and Chiara Stizzoli). For the absolute teams, an excellent sixth place for the girls of the compound, who came out in the second round against three athletes of the youth national team, who shot in Rimini on behalf of the Arcieri del Torresin, while for the archers of the recurve bow the ninth place, first of the teams excluded from the clashes, unfortunately does not represent the efforts of a cohesive group always ready to give the best.
“One would say” it will be for the next time “, given that the season of national events 2022 has just begun and there are still 4 Italian championships (club, plate, campaign and 3D), numerous trophies (Pinocchio) and cups (Coppa Italia) Masters, Youth Centers and Naked Arch), but also a series of events at the local level (regional championships), in which our athletes will certainly have their say ».
