Lewandowski introduced to Barcelona: “Feel even better at 34 than at 29” | Primera Division

In a bid to rejoin the European summit, Barcelona has moved heaven and earth to lure Robert Lewandowski from Bavaria to Catalonia. In a few days, the Pole will be 34 years old, but he says he still has an enormous urge to prove himself.

“My age doesn’t matter. My body doesn’t feel like someone’s 33, almost 34. I’m sure I can play at top level for a few more years. I even feel better than I was 29!”

When asked what drives him to get up every morning, he replied with a joke. “First I eat my breakfast so that I’m not hungry anymore. Then I start training.”

President Joan Laporta called it “an historic day”. In his election, he had announced that he would bring Barcelona back to the top. With the arrival of the expensive Lewandowski, Laporte seems to be going all-in right away. “Things are moving in the right direction. We can say that we have left the hospital and are in good health again.”
