Laura Bernardo, intensity and points for Milar Córdoba

New signing confirmed. The second in this case of the summer market for Milar Córdoba BF, which already has five players on its squad after having reached an agreement with the 1.78-foot forward Laura Bernardo. The 18-year-old player from Madrid arrives from Estudiantes, the entity with which she competed last season in the junior category and with which she made her debut in the Endesa Women’s League. In this way, the Cordovan club has so far added a core made up of guards Carlota Menéndez and Ana Rodríguez, forwards Noemí Ugochukwu and Laura Bernardo and power forward Marta Martínez.

Bernardo began his career in basketball at the age of 6 at the Jesús Maestro school, where he stayed until he was 11. In 2015 he joined Cref Hola in the junior category, a club he played with until 2017. Later he would go to Real Canoe, in child and cadet age, while the last three seasons he has competed in the ranks of Estudiantes, where he arrived in his second cadet year and, as has been said, last year he made his debut in the highest category. It should also be noted that the Canoe awarded him the prize for the best promise in 2018.

Regarding her signing, the player highlights that “it is a club that in a very short time is growing a lot, with ambition and without fear of challenges, betting on women’s basketball”. Likewise, she underlines that “both in the Cref and in the Canoe, as well as this last year in the Estudiantes”, she has been the captain, which has served to “improve my experience and maturity. I really like to make an effort in what I do and pass it on to my colleagues. In addition, I am an ambitious and competitive person who does not give up a ball for lost.
