In the competition, participants competed in three slalom disciplines – giant slalom, hybrid slalom and linear slalom. In the giant slalom, Jānis Kuzmins from Olai won a convincing victory, but in an intense battle with Viktor Haderstrand from Sweden for the second place, another Olaiman – world junior championship medalist Artūrs Liskovs – came third. On the other hand, in the ladies’ group, this year’s European vice-champion Anna Gailīte came in second, and Elīza Gailīte in third place, both losing to the representative of Italy, Irene Di Giorgio.

In the semi-finals of the hybrid slalom, the multiple world and European champion Jānis Kuzmins beat the titleholder Gustavus Gailītis from Riga, and in the finals also the Swedish Viking Haderstrand, achieving his second victory. In the fight for 3rd place, Gailītis lost to the Swede Mikaëls Haderstrand. In the women’s group, Elīza Gailīte won the qualification and also beat the Italian Giorgio in the semi-finals, but her sister Anna, who was third in the qualification, won the final races.

In the lane slalom discipline, only Gustavs Gailītis entered the top three from Latvians, showing the second time in the qualification, defeating Tom Dreiblat in the quarter-finals, beating Viktors Haderstrand in an intense fight in the semi-finals, and recognizing the superiority of the Swedish Viking Hadestrand in the final. Artūrs Liskovs, who met Kuzmin in the quarterfinals, who received a suspension, lost to Haderstrands in the semifinals and in the fight for third place. In the women’s group, the Gailīte sisters met again in the finals – Anna won the first, while Elīza won the second final race. In the sum of two trips, Anna was faster by only 0.08 seconds.

Kuzmin still won the overall standings of all three disciplines, despite the failure in the hybrid slalom, leaving behind two Hadestrands – Viktor and Mikaela.
