Late August: Gazprom announces three-day shutdown of Nord Stream 1 – Economy

The Russian energy giant Gazprom has announced a three-day shutdown of the entire Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline from the end of August. Due to “a series of routine maintenance work” no gas will flow towards Germany from August 31 to September 2 inclusive, Gazprom announced on Friday. Gas deliveries from Russia have been greatly reduced since June. (dpa)
