Lamkel Zé does it again: he refuses to pass the medical examination in Omonoia and hopes for a transfer to Hungary

Didier Lamkel Zé will not leave Antwerp for Cypriot club Omonoia FC, despite an agreement signed between the two clubs and a three-year agreement in principle with the player concluded on Sunday. The 25-year-old Cameroonian striker “refused to follow the medical visit procedure, which was a basic requirement to join Omonoia“, the club said on its website on Monday.

The medical examinations were scheduled for today, but the player, for personal reasons and with various excuses and lies, refused to follow the medical procedure, and in the late afternoon he left Cyprus for Hungary“, added Omonoia.

Lamkel Zé would like to join Ferencvaros there.

Following today’s development, we will be claiming our legal rights in FIFA to both Didier Lamkel Ze and the team he will eventually end up in“, said the Cypriot club.

The Cameroonian winger arrived at Bosuil in 2018. In total, Lamkel Zé played 88 matches for Antwerp and scored 21 goals. Due to his bad behavior, he was dismissed. He was loaned to Slovak club Dunajska Streda (2021), Russian club Khimki (2022) and French club Metz (2022). Lamkel Zé had one more year of contract with Antwerp. He trained with the B team this summer.
