In the second round, last year’s quarterfinalist of the tournament in Cincinnati will face the winner of today’s duel between Olympic champion Belinda Bencic from Switzerland and Romanian Sorana Cirstea.

At the beginning of the main competition, Martincová completed a victorious battle of the qualifiers with the Spaniard Nuria Párrizasová and won 6:7, 6:4, 6:3.
