Judo: Irigoitia signs up for the Odesur party – Polideportivo

The Interclub Judo Tournament for the 41st Anniversary of the International Tennis Club (CIT) successfully concluded, in which the last qualifying quotas for the XII South American Games of Asunción 2022 (from October 1 to 15) were played.

The medalists of the different weight categories were awarded in which the judoka Luis Javier Irigoitia Caballero (07/10/1985) became champion in the +100 kg category, in senior, and will be our new representative in Odesur.

As regards the Best Ippon Cup, it was obtained by the athlete Saúl Gonzalo Landaira Arévalos (12/27/2001) who lifted the trophy.

In relation to the clubs, Shimpei Judo Club was crowned in the contest with the highest number of medals obtained; in second place went to Faisanes Judo Club and third place went to Club Deportivo Puerto Saxony.

The ceremony was attended by CIT President Dr. John Jose Galeano: the head of FEPAJ, Sergio Kanonnikoff; the president of the Formosan Judo Federation, Julio Peña, Mr. Carlos Centurion, head of Martial Arts of the CIT, Patricio Bogarin, among others.
