According to the city of Gimcheon on the 13th, the city hall badminton players lifted the championship cup in the mixed doubles of the ‘2022 National Badminton Championships’ held at the Dangjin Indoor Gymnasium in Chungnam recently.

In the men’s and women’s team events, they placed 3rd respectively.

Mixed doubles players Ko Seong-hyeon and Uhm Hye-won met Samsung Life Insurance (Kim Won-ho, Lee Yu-rim) and gave up one set (17-21), but won the second and third sets (21-16, 21-17) 2-1.

In the team event, the men’s team advanced to the semifinals, but met Yonex and took a 2-0 lead, but they gave up three sets and lost 2-3, failing to advance to the final.

In the women’s division, they met Samsung Life Insurance, a strong team with national representatives Se-young Ahn and Ga-eun Kim, in the quarterfinals, and ended up in 3rd place with a 1-3 disappointing defeat.
