FC Andorra, promoted to Spanish D2 and whose owner is Gérard Piqué, offered Manchester United a loan for Hannibal Mejbri; With a purchase option of 25 million euros.
Since arriving at Manchester United’s academy from Monaco in 2019, Hannibal Mejbri has yet to find a place in the Red Devils first team. The 19-year-old midfielder is to be loaned out this summer and several clubs are in the running. Besides West Bromwich and Birmingham (English D2), the one that pushes the most is FC Andorra.
Three Premier League matches in three years
The promoted to Spanish D2 has been owned by Gerard Piqué, via the Kosmos group, since December 2018 (he was then in D5). The Spanish international is ambitious for his club, which is looking for a midfielder with potential to give him pro playing time. FC Andorra has thus offered a loan with a purchase option, set at 25 million euros, which would be automatic in the event of a rise in La Liga.
At Manchester, who would lean more towards a loan in the Championship, Mejbri has only played three Premier League games in three years, despite taking part in training with the first team. A Tunisian international for a year, the native of Ivry-sur-Seine was a finalist in the Arab Cup in December and took part in the African Cup of Nations a month later (two matches in the group stage).
