Former NBA champion Iman Shumpert was arrested for having a “considerable” amount of marijuana at the Dallas airport

TMZ Sports sources pointed out this Wednesday that NBA player Iman Shumpert was arrested at a Dallas airport last Saturday for allegedly having a “sizable” bag of marijuana in your travel bag.

Shumpert’s arrest occurred hours after noon after authorities responded to a “drug violation” and found the plastic bag with just over six ounces of marijuana, something the basketball player himself confirmed.

The escort went to the airport to take a flight to Los Angeles to visit his daughter and although he had expressed concern about losing the route, the officers told him that he would be detained for “possession of marijuana.”

According to the report to which TMZ had access, LeBron James’s ex-partner was transferred to the airport police station without problems, but at the moment it is unknown if he is released on bail or continues to be detained; in the last hours he made publications on Instagram.

In addition to marijuana, bullets from a 9mm pistol and a recent issue of Glock Magazine were also found in the bag.

It should be noted that the possession of marijuana in Dallas is illegal, so now Shumpert could face criminal charges for “felony”According to the arrest report, which would represent from two years to 10 years in prison and a fine of $10,000 dollars to be found guilty.

After having played until the 2020-2021 season in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets, Shumpert has stayed away from the board and even played the 30th season of “Dancing With The Stars”which he won a few months ago.
