Nagelsmann verdict against Sandro Wagner!
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann (35) is in a good mood again.
At the press conference before the start of the Bundesliga home game against VfL Wolfsburg (Sunday, 5.30 p.m., DAZN and BILD live ticker!), the coach of the record champions talks about the talents Paul Wanner (16) and Gabriel Vidovic (18).

Nagelsmann talks about the fact that Vidovic will play for Bayern’s U23s against Unterhaching (Saturday, 2 p.m.) in the regional league at the weekend. Sandro Wagner has been head coach there since 2021.

A clear allusion to Sandro Wagner’s expert job at the streaming service DAZN and ZDF. The former national striker has been a football expert on TV there since 2020.
However, the saying is a joke among good friends: they know each other from their shared Hoffenheim times, Nagelsmann trained Wagner for two years before moving to Bayern in 2018 with the Kraichgauers. And the two of them get along very well in private, too.
Before the verdict against Wagner, Bayern coach Nagelsmann was full of praise for the two youngsters Wanner and Vidovic. He says to midfielder Vidovic: “I think incredibly highly of Gabi. This is one of the most talented players in Germany in this position. He is extremely good at interpreting space and behaving outdoors. He has a huge quality.”
But Nagelsmann also says: “It’s similar to Paul (Wanner, ed.). We have a lot of quality midfielders who are good in number six, eight or ten. But he (Vidovic) is also happy when he can play U23. He never pulls a face. He is extremely easy to deal with, has a fine character and is a nice guy.”
