Midfielder Edu Expósito said yesterday, Tuesday, during his presentation as a new player for Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium, that despite the interest of other teams, he wanted to “arrive here and wear the club’s shirt”.
Asked about the negotiations on his future, Expósito wanted to “thank” all the clubs interested in him. In this sense, the Catalan revealed that he was “very close” to Girona, but he insisted that when he learned of Espanyol’s proposal, there was “nothing more”. The player, who signs until June 30, 2027, was very pleased to start this new stage: “I am very happy to defend this shield and this shirt and I am looking forward to arriving on Saturday to start”. He also said that he feels good playing “both eight and ten”, but that the priority is to help.
