A total of 12 boys and girls who belong to a Ukrainian judo club and are temporarily evacuated to Yokohama were trained by Masashi Nishiyama (37), a men’s 90-kilogram class bronze medalist at the London Olympics, on the 4th. . He came to Japan in July after the club had an online exchange with the City Judo Association in November last year. Stay until the end of this month.
The rehearsals were planned by the city of Yokohama so that they could hone their skills while living in evacuation shelters. Mr. Nishiyama teaches authentic techniques. The 12 people were enthusiastic while listening to how to step on the Osotogari.
