Second setback for the blues, who continue to work on consolidating a very renewed squad

Second summer defeat in the second bowl for an Amorebieta in full reconstruction. The Blues succumbed to a more orderly and successful Osasuna Promises. That was enough to overcome those of Haritz Mujika, who still has a lot of work ahead of him to consolidate a completely renewed bloc. But, as they say, that’s what the preseason is for.

This clash has also meant the return of football to Urritxe after Lezama’s exile, with a notable presence of fans eager to see their own in action and who had to seek refuge in the shade on a hot morning.

The rojillo subsidiary had more presence with the ball and the initiative took longer against an Amorebieta who still wants to find himself. Even so, the beginning was entertaining and with alternatives in both areas. The young Xabi Ayarza had a couple of good chances, but the zornotzarra youth squad lacked skill in scoring.

Jonmi, who had his birthday precisely today, avoided the first red goal just before half an hour. And Izeta, one of the most active on the Zornotzarra side, was about to open the can in the final stretch of the first period. However, it was Osasuna B who scored just before the break through Ander Yoldi.

The start of the second period was also very entertaining in Urritxe. He had barely started the ball rolling when Buján was about to return the tie to the scoreboard, but he ran into a very good response from the Navarrese goalkeeper. Osasuna B responded immediately with a shot to the post after a corner kick. And just four minutes later, at 58′, De Luis scored the second for the visitors.

The last half hour of this friendly match was a no-win match in which both technicians dedicated themselves to doing various tests and giving minutes to different players. There were more arrivals of some danger in both goals, but the scoreboard did not move anymore.

The next match for Amorebieta will also be in Urritxe, and again with free access for all fans. The Blues will face Iker Amorrortu’s Numancia starting at 7:00 p.m.
