Dana White’s controversial statement that will push Ngannou out!

Francis Ngannou and Dana White have been in dispute for months over the extension of the UFC heavyweight champion. the Predator wants a raise, but if his boss’s latest interview is to be believed, he’s going to have to leave to be paid at its true value.

For almost a year now, Francis Ngannou and the leaders of the UFC have been engaged in an open war over a possible contract extension for the Predator. The heavyweight champion would see himself continuing his reign, but on condition of including some nice clauses in his new deal. The first, and most important, is the possibility of being able to face Tyson Fury in a lucrative boxing match.

Because at almost 36 years old, and after an operation as heavy as the cruciate ligaments, the Predator knows full well that he is nearing the end, and he would like to receive the biggest jackpot possible to live a peaceful retirement and ensure a bright future for his family. He also said it after his victory against Ciryl Gane last January: he will never again climb into the cage for “only” 600,000 dollars, an amount estimated by the specialized media.

Dana White refuses to increase her fighters!

The problem is that Dana White and his associates are rather reluctant to offer him the hoped-for raise, and things should not go well after the last interview of the big boss for GQ Sports. White firmly admitted that as long as he was in business, the salaries would not move, since they would already be very fair. Not all fighters will agree with this analysis.

Fighters will always want to make more money. But there will never be a salary increase as long as I’m in the UFC. Believe me, fighters get paid what they deserve to be paid. They eat what they kill. They also receive a percentage of pay-per-view sales and the money generated is redistributed to all members of the roster, even the lesser-known ones.

In the UFC, fighters are paid a base salary, which starts at $12,000 per fight, and they can double the amount if they win. But for many observers, this would not be enough, since they have to pay their coaches, their travel, finance their training camps, and pay more or less high taxes… Dana White would however have ample means to increase his stars, the proof with UFC San Diego this Saturday.

All the fighters of the evening received 1.73 million dollars in total, when the sale of tickets alone brought in 1.8 million… All advertising revenues therefore went directly into the pocket of the organization.

UFC fighter salaries are higher than ever at the heart of the debate, and Dana White does not seem ready to evolve on the question. For him the stars are well paid, even if the biggest names of other organizations touch more.
