New top club on Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo (37) and Manchester United – nobody believes that the superstar will be happy again at Old Trafford.
It’s clear: Despite the contract, the Portuguese wants to leave by 2023. Only so far – one can put it this way – no club has taken pity on him.
Now new in the draw: Olympique Marseille. The French media report. According to ex-Marseille professional Jean-Charles (62) De Bono, the 1993 Champions League winner has already started a marketing study.
De Bono on the Football Club de Marseille program: “A study is being carried out to find out what Ronaldo could bring to the club financially. This was also done by PSG at Messi. Olympique decided to study the impact Ronaldo is having on sponsors around the world to bring them to Marseille.”
Ex-OM professional Samir Nasri (35) is clear: “Ronaldo can terminate his contract. OM pays him half his salary and he comes to play in the Champions League. An attack with Cristiano Ronaldo and Alexis Sanchez, that would look good.”
A transfer can still take place up to and including September 1st. After that, the switch window closes. That means it has to be fast now.
The crucial difference between ManUnited and Marseille: The French are qualified as French runners-up for the 2021/22 season for the Champions League group stage, which will be drawn in Istanbul on Thursday evening (6 p.m.). The English record champions “only” start in the Europa League this season.

Taking to Instagram, Ronaldo wrote: “Well done @manchesterunited. Thanks for the support Old Trafford.” But the photo showed a CR7 with a tight expression on his face. Happy looks different.
