“NBA 2K23” is in the starting blocks. The developers have now unveiled the first cover featuring Michael Jordan. This year there is also an exciting extra included.

Arguably no other athlete has had such an impact on his sport as Michael Jordan. The end of his career is now almost 20 years ago – in 2023 he hung up his basketball shoes in the Washington Wizards jersey. But with the series “The Last Dance” Netflix and ESPN recalled his impressive career. And 2K has also dedicated the cover of “NBA 2K23” to the “Greatest of All Time”. Jordan has previously graced the cover of NBA 2K11, NBA 2K12, and NBA 2K16. “Having made 23 the most recognizable number in esports, it’s only fitting that NBA 2K23 features a Michael Jordan Edition bring,” explains 2K’s Alfie Brody. NBA 2K23: Championship Edition includes 12 months of NBA League Pass

This year, players will receive a special bonus when they purchase the NBA 2K23 Championship Edition. As an extra, buyers get namely Access to NBA League Pass for 12 months. This is a real added value for basketball fans, as they can use it to watch every NBA game.

However, this bonus is reflected in the price of the game. In recent years, the premium edition has cost around 100 euros, while “NBA 2K23” will now cost 149.99 euros. But if you consider that the NBA League Pass regularly costs at least 17.99 euros per month or 215.88 euros per year, you not only get the League Pass much cheaper, you also get “NBA 2K23” on top of it. For basketball fans, this is a really good deal.

NBA 2K23 brings back one of the best modes

Over the past several years, Visual Concepts developers have increasingly focused on online play and MyCareer for the NBA 2K series. In “NBA 2K23” one of the best single player modes returns – namely the “Jordan Challenge”, which was also playable in “NBA 2K11”. It recreates 15 iconic moments from Michael Jordan’s career, including games from his college days near North Carolina and playing with the legendary USA Dream Team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Air Jordan fans will love this year’s edition can hardly resist. NBA 2K23 will be released on September 9th.
