Great start for Bayern

This start has it all!

After the draw on Thursday, Uefa has now published the exact times of the group games for the Champions League.

Bayern got off to a real cracker start!

The team around trainer Julian Nagelsmann (35) and star newcomer Sadio Mané (30) starts on September 7th in the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium at Inter Milan (9 p.m.). Just a week later, Barça new signing Robert Lewandowski (34) will return to his old place of work when the record champions welcome FC Barcelona (September 13/9 p.m.).

BVB is starting the new Champions League season a day earlier, with a guest appearance at FC Copenhagen on September 6 (6:45 p.m.). Leipzig, on the other hand, will start with a home game and will host Shakhtar Donetsk at 9 p.m. the same evening. Leverkusen starts at Club Brugge and Frankfurt with a home game against Sporting Lisbon.

In addition to the bang between Bayern and Barça, there are other highlights from a German perspective on the second day of the group match: Dortmund has to go to Manchester City and ex-striker Erling Haaland (22), Leipzig travels to the record holder (14) of the Champions League, to Real Madrid (each on September 14/9 p.m.). In addition, Leverkusen welcomes Atlético Madrid and Frankfurt has to go to France to Olympique Marseille (each September 13/9 p.m.).

The group games in the Europa and Conference Leagues, which start on September 8th, have also been fixed.

The two German representatives in the Europa League each start with a home game. Union Berlin welcome Belgian club Royal Union Saint-Gilloise and Freiburg meet Qarabag Agdam from Azerbaijan. For Cologne, the Conference League begins with French club OGC Nice with coach Lucien Favre (64).
