Canadian «Squid Vicious» Vankill en UWC 37

Tijuana, BC- Undefeated Tyler “Squid Vicious” Vankill will return to professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) on Friday, August 26 in a Welterweight matchup at UWC 37, to be held in Tijuana, Baja California.

The native of Morell, Prince Edward Island, Canada, will be in the Ultimate Warrior Challenge Mexico (UWC) cage for the second time where he anticipates continuing his winning streak by way of submission.

“I’m happy to be back with UWC, I started out as an unhealthy 230lbs, I played judo as a kid (my mom is a black belt in judo), and I was always interested in competing,” Vankill stated.

Although he has been in the MMA for eight years, the now member of Entram Gym has barely had three professional fights as of 2021, two of which he has finished with a mataleón and the other with an arm triangle.

His UWC debut came on May 27 when he collided with the Mexican Hiram “NIkkei” Furukawa, whom he submitted in just 83 seconds, his fastest win even though they all finished in the first round.
