9 out of 9 for Real Madrid. Thibaut Courtois and co seemed to be heading for a loss of points against Espanyol for a long time. But Karim Benzema struck twice in the final minutes.

With victories against Almeria and Celta, Real Madrid had started the season flawlessly. The Madrid team seemed to continue that line against Espanyol with an early opening goal from Vinicius.

But with halftime in sight, Espanyol increased the pressure. Courtois made a good save at first, but in the recap he was able to beat Joselu don’t like the equaliser.

A tie hung in the air until Benzema disbanded his fiends. First he worked a cross from Rodrygo at close range against the ropes.
