Baie d’Armor Judo: a free taïso judo course for people over 60 to prevent falls – Saint-Brieuc



Beyond the classic judo classes, the Baie D’Armor Judo club, in partnership with the company specializing in the field Saparman, is launching its season with a fall prevention course through taïso judo. Quesaco? Answers from Sébastien Mocaer, teacher.

Le Télégramme: Who is this taiso judo course for?

“It concerns people over 60. The goal is to strengthen the muscle chain to prevent falls. To offer this course, we had the support of the City of Ploufragan and assistance from the Departmental Council makes the session free”.

Where and when will the course take place?

“It will take place at the Haut-Champ dojo in Ploufragan, on Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The course will be co-taught by Michaël Lajoux and myself”.

What will the content of the program be?

“The exercises are inspired by martial arts (judo, taïso) and adapted to future participants aged 60 to 99. Through playful and original exercises, the work will focus on muscle strengthening, flexibility, coordination and balance, all with enthusiasm and good humor”.
