KOMPAS.com – Australia and Malaysia got opposite results on the first matchday of Group C of the 2022 AFF U16 Cup, Tuesday (2/8/2022).
Australia’s U16 national team unexpectedly lost to Myanmar while Malaysia won their first victory.
Competing at the Sultan Agung Stadium (SSA), Bantul, Michael Cooper’s Australian U16 national team lost 2-3 to Myanmar.
The appearance of the Australian U16 national team was fairly bad because it was recorded two times behind.
Two of Australia’s goals were created by Luka Coveny in the 39th minute and Miguel Di Pizio (44′).

The schedule for the 2022 AFF U16 Cup will then feature two Group A matches on Wednesday (3/8/2022).
The two matches were the U16 national team of Indonesia vs Singapore and Vietnam vs the Philippines.
The Indonesian U16 national team must beat Singapore if they are to increase their chances of qualifying for the 2022 AFF U16 Cup semifinals with the status of Group A winners.
Because the Indonesian U16 national team will face a strong team from Vietnam on the last matchday of Group A, Saturday (6/8/2022).
