On July 24th, this year’s Baden-Württemberg Championships (u15) for boys were held in Nürtingen. The only 13-year-old student at the Elly-Heuss-Knapp-Gymnasium from Judo Club Kano Heilbronn defended his previous year’s title of the U13 national championship with ease. He was able to win all fights with premature victories (ippon) in the highest weight class. He has been training with his training partners enthusiastically and passionately several times a week under his trainer since he was 5 years old Melek Melke (national coach u21) in the Heilbronn dojo. For the coming school year, all judoka hope that there will be no more bans and restrictions on practicing sports like in the Corona years.
